language, and heritage among Nepalese children, who are either born in Canada or came to Canada at their early stage of life. Run by a group of dedicated volunteers, Nepali Pathshala believes in community wellness through cultural awareness among the children. Classes are run starting in the month of September, every Sunday for two hours in an annually contracted community space provided by the 1000 Voice, Genesis Centre. Classes run in three cohorts based on students’ understanding of Nepali language and culture: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels. Students’ enrollment has been increased from 15 in the 2015/16 academic year to 82 students in 2021/22.
