NCSC is very proud to announce that the event "Healthy Family Relationship Badminton tournament" was organized very successfully today (Saturday, 2 December 2017). Players from all ages and all kinds of members of families participated very enthusiastically. We hope, this event helped to promote healthy and happy family relationships and decrease domestic violence. To make the event happen, there was the inspiration and financial support of United Way, specially Lalita Singh and Atiya Ashna. On behalf of NCSC, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for their support. Similarly, I would like to thank Surendra Mishra, who coordinated the event and did every planning and made this event successful. We are grateful to Clear one badminton centre for providing us the hall and Pathways Burger for providing the delicious food. All the participants, including kids, youths, adults and seniors who played the games and observed the event actively are the key elements of this event and our very special thanks go to them. Nepalese Community Society of Calgary(NCSC) has contributed five thousand dollors to Dhurmus Suntali foundation for flood relief program in Terai Nepal. In an event organized by NCSC, the amount was handed to the chairman of Dhurmus Suntali foundation, Mr Sitaram Kattel and Ms Kunjana Ghimire by executive members and board of directors of the nepalese society. The president of NCSC, Mr Dhurba Rai also handed the letter of admiration for the contribution they have made and said the help was motivation provided to the foundation of their work of reconstruction and rehabilitation. Also speaking in the event, Mr Sitaram Kattel and Ms Kunjana Ghimire thanked NCSC for the help and requested helping hands to take part in their campaign.

NCSC Nepali Pathshala organized the summer picnic at Elliston Park, Calgary on June 24, 2017. Children, parents and volunteers had a great time at this event. Report cards and token of love for kids were distributed on the same day. Congratulations to all our children. Ambassador of Nepal to Canada his excellency Kali Prasad Pokharel is visiting Calgary on 14 to 15 June. On this occasion, NCSC had organized an interaction program on 14 June at NCSC 's office (212-4851 Westwinds Drive NE). Services from Nepali Embassy was also provided on the day.
Dr Rekha Parajuli and Mckenzie Hart visited our NCSC Nepali Pathshala and gave presentation on dental hygiene to our children. This workshop was very informative and the event was successful. We are really thankful to Dr parajuli and Ms Hart. Dr. Rekha Parajuli has been practicing at Brentwood Village Dental Clinic for last six years as a Dentist. Dr Parajuli graduated from the University of Toronto with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2011 and has been working in this clinic since her graduation. Nepalese Community Society of Calgary (NCSC) donated $5000.00 to the Canadian Red cross to help the victims of recent Alberta fire in Fort McMurry. President of NCSC Mr. Dhruba Rai handed over the cheque to the Red Cross Canada. According to the Mr. Madhab Dulal, an Event Coordinator of NCSC, this donation will use to buy the immediate necessary items for the people who lost their home. Joint Secretary Mr. Harish Pandey, NCSC member Miss Yani Dulal and Miss Mamta KC also participated at this program. NCSC is going to volunteer in Edmonton. Popular singer Mr. Buddhi Adhirai worms the stage with his top lok folk songs along with local artists. Mr. Shree kanta Aryal and Miss Anju Gyawali were the MC of the program.
